SHORT ANSWER

For most travellers: late spring or early autumn.

May–June and September–early October are usually the easiest periods for a first Armenia trip: Yerevan is comfortable, day trips are practical and the mountains are more accessible than in winter.

PRACTICAL INFO

Summer

July and August can be very hot in Yerevan, while higher elevations are much more comfortable. Summer works well if mountains and Lake Sevan are central to the trip.

PRACTICAL INFO

Winter

Winter can be excellent for snow scenery and ski areas, but road conditions and mountain access become more weather-dependent.
